Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 September 2026 · Version terms-v1-2026-09-17

1. Who we are

MatchVault is a Swiss life sciences recruitment platform operated by Frédéric Hussler, based in Switzerland. Contact: hello@matchvault.ch. These terms govern your use of matchvault.ch. By creating an account you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the platform, and you must give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. There are two kinds of account: candidate and recruiter. A recruiter account is for use on behalf of a company, and the person creating it confirms they are entitled to act for that company. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

3. Free for candidates

Creating an account, completing your profile, being matched with employers, and applying to jobs are free for candidates. We never charge a candidate a fee for being placed in a job.

4. Visibility to companies (candidates)

Your profile is hidden from companies by default. Companies can find you in their candidate search, open your profile and contact you only if you switch on "Visible to companies" at signup or in Settings. You can switch it off at any time; each change is recorded with its date and the version of the consent text. Independently of that setting, when you apply to a job the recruiter who published it sees your application, your CV and the match analysis for that job, and recruiters at that company can open your profile and contact you.

5. Premium subscription (candidates)

Premium is an optional subscription (CHF 16.99 per month) that unlocks additional analysis and employability tools for you: full match breakdowns, CV suggestions, career intelligence and saved jobs. It has no effect on your match scores, your ranking, your visibility, or anything companies see. It is not a condition of applying to jobs and is not a placement fee. You can cancel at any time; the subscription then ends at the end of the current billing period.

6. Automated relevance filter (candidates)

Your match list automatically hides offers that do not fit your profile on at least one of five criteria: location or canton, seniority level (only when more than two levels apart), a language the employer requires, work-permit sponsorship (only where you stated you need it and the offer states it is not available), and your stated availability. Your match page shows how many offers were hidden and why. The filter does not restrict the Job Board: you can always browse and apply to any published offer. The Help page explains this filter in full, and you can change your profile at any time. If you think an offer was hidden wrongly, contact us and a person will review it, normally within 30 days.

7. AI-assisted matching

Match scores, summaries and analyses are produced with AI and are an aid to human judgement, not a decision. Hiring decisions are made by the companies, not by MatchVault, and a score is not a promise of an interview or a job. We do not guarantee that any candidate will find a role or that any company will find a suitable candidate.

8. Recruiter obligations

Recruiters may use candidate data only to assess and contact that candidate for a genuine recruitment purpose, and must keep it confidential. Recruiters must not use it for advertising, resell or share it outside their company, add it to another database or CRM, use it to train models, or use it to discriminate unlawfully. Data obtained through a shared shortlist link may only be used by the people it was shared with, for that role. A candidate withdrawing their visibility stops any further access; data already received must still be handled in line with applicable data-protection law.

9. Paid plans for companies

Recruiter plans, invoicing, renewal and cancellation are governed by our Terms of Sale. Plan limits (job postings and discovery runs) are enforced by the platform. The number of candidates you can reach depends on candidates' own visibility choices, which MatchVault does not control or guarantee.

10. Acceptable use

Do not scrape or bulk-extract data, attempt to bypass access controls or plan limits, upload unlawful or misleading content, post jobs that do not exist, impersonate anyone, or use the platform to send unsolicited advertising. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, is used fraudulently, or puts the security of the service or other users at risk.

11. Your content

You keep the rights to what you upload, such as your CV, diplomas and job descriptions. You grant MatchVault the right to store and process that content to operate the service as described here and in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

12. Availability and liability

The service is provided as it is. We aim to keep it available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, MatchVault is liable only for direct, proven damage caused by a serious breach on our part, and not for indirect loss, lost opportunities, lost profits, or hiring decisions taken by users.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. The version and date at the top of this page always apply. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; continuing to use the platform after that date means you accept the new version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction will be stated here once the operating entity is registered.
