MatchVault is a Swiss life sciences recruitment platform operated by Frédéric Hussler, based in Switzerland. Contact: hello@matchvault.ch
We collect the information you provide when creating an account: name, email address, CV, work permit status, languages, career preferences, and notification preferences. For recruiters, we also collect company name, logo, and job postings.
Your data is used to: match candidates to job postings using AI, send email notifications about matches and applications, review and improve our matching over time, and provide recruiter analytics. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Your candidate profile is hidden from companies by default. Companies can find your profile, CV and match analyses in their candidate search (Talent Discovery), view your profile page and contact you only if you have given your consent by ticking "Make my profile visible to companies" at signup or by switching on "Visible to companies" in Settings. You can withdraw this consent at any time in Settings; withdrawal stops future visibility and hides you from company search results, but does not undo what a company has already seen. Each change is recorded with its date and the version of the consent text. Independently of this setting, when you apply to a job, the recruiter who published it can see your application, CV and the match analysis for that job, and recruiters of that company can view your profile page and contact you.
To show you relevant offers, your match list automatically hides offers that do not fit your profile on at least one of five criteria: location/canton, seniority level (only if more than two levels apart), a language required by the employer, work-permit sponsorship (only if you said you need it and the offer says it is not available), and availability (if you marked yourself as not available). The filter only applies once your profile and the offer contain the necessary information. It does not affect whether companies can see you. Your match page shows how many offers were hidden and why; when your match list is displayed, the hidden offers are recorded in a log (at most once a day per offer). Your match page and the Help page explain this filter and how to change what you see; you can update your profile at any time. If you think an offer was hidden wrongly, you can contact us (section 12) and a person will review it, normally within 30 days. To estimate your seniority level, your CV is analysed by Anthropic's Claude model; this estimate is used only for this filter and is not displayed to companies in MatchVault.
Using MatchVault, being matched with employers and applying to jobs are free for candidates. The optional Premium subscription only unlocks additional analysis and employability tools for you; it has no influence on your match scores, on your ranking, or on whether and how companies see your profile.
Your CV and profile data is processed by OpenAI (GPT and embedding models) to generate match scores between candidates and jobs. Career insights in the candidate dashboard are generated using Anthropic's Claude API. These AI providers process your data as sub-processors under data processing agreements; some processing may occur on infrastructure located outside the EEA, subject to appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Match results are stored in our database.
Your account data and CV files are stored in Supabase, in Switzerland (Zurich region). Email delivery is handled by Resend, in the United States. Product analytics are handled by PostHog, in the United States. We also use the following sub-processors, which may process data outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses: OpenAI and Anthropic (AI matching and insights) and n8n (workflow automation that orchestrates the AI matching pipeline). n8n operates with broad access to our database, not limited data. Your stored data resides in Switzerland; certain processing described above may involve transfers outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and all associated data, export your data, withdraw consent at any time (including your consent to be visible to companies, in Settings), and ask for a human review of an automated result. To exercise these rights, use the account deletion feature in Settings or contact hello@matchvault.ch.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is deleted immediately, including your CV, match history, and application history. Not all data is erased: where a recruiter has created records about you (such as interview notes, evaluations, offers, or feedback), those records are retained in anonymized form rather than deleted. Personal data about candidates who never created an account is not covered by account deletion and is handled through a separate process.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use PostHog (in the United States) for product analytics; this includes information linked to your account such as your email, name, and role. No advertising cookies are used. You can request deletion of your analytics data by contacting hello@matchvault.ch.
